Hey! Thanks for stopping by!  *hi-fives all around*

My name is Patrick.  My wife and I have been married for six years.  We
love car camping all over the Cascades and the Olympics, as well as more
serious international adventures. Ask me about the trip where we hiked through
the Slovenian, Austrian, German, back into the Austrian, and then the Italian
Alps.  Or, the time I played bumper cars on a hairpin corner with a man in
the Albanian mafia and got chased across the border into Macedonia!  Anne still hasn't
forgiven me for that one.

That said, you should probably know that I like to have fun, I work hard and
I'm willing to take risks.  I believe that being a wedding photographer is
not for the faint of heart.  During my days as a freelance travel photographer/writer,
I learned that the best images don't just happen because you've bought a plane
ticket.  In over 30 countries, I found that the most compelling images
come from getting inside the life of a person or falling in love with a place.  My most cherished picture
of you is likely to come after we've had a beer, and your cousin has shared a
funny story about when you were little.

Thank you for looking, and don't be afraid to leave a comment.

Brianna + Dan Engaged

Brianna and Dan got connected with me through a good friend of mine, so I was super excited to book their engagement photos and their wedding.  They love playing pool, and are just an all around down-to-earth and fun-loving couple, so we decided to do some engagement photos in the Alki Tavern, and then on the waterfront.  Unfortunately, the weather on Feb 14 in Seattle, was pretty much rainy, cold and dark… Uh, what did you expect?  We’re going to do a follow up session, once the weather turns sunny and warm._dsc15371_dsc15362dyptych21dsc_9380_dsc1712_dsc1672_dsc1654_dsc15781_dsc15641_dsc15511

Alki Sunset

Shooting landscape photos during the winter in Seattle is hard.  First of all, it gets dark by about 3pm, so you have to start early.  Second, there is no sunset, the day simply fades from grey to black.  I used my 45 perspective control lens for these shots.  If you want to save about $2000, you can just rub some vaseline on the top and bottom of a normal lens._dsc0835_dsc0871
